Born and Raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to refugee South Sudanese parents, IDENTITY has always been an interesting battle within my life. I have seen and been in situations that were not favourable for a young child like myself. This ultimately led me to the game of football. A place where I learned the importance of not only identity, but DISCIPLINE, MENTALITY, and SENSE OF PURPOSE. The HARDSHIPS of my childhood mixed with the deep-rooted values that the sport of football teach, created the BORN WINNER MENTALITY. I wasn’t dealt the best hand at birth but I found a way to win and want to share my KNOWLEDGE with the YOUTH; whether they share a similar past with me or not. As I grow as an athlete and human, the importance of IDENTITY and MINDSET have truly pushed me through the toughest moments in my life and career. My story is a testament that even through trials and tribulations, a Born Winner Mentality can bring any individual through the toughest if situations.
